Old bad habit has finally been kicked out of its system, if you all know what I'm referring to. :)

It has been awhile since these muscles got some working out. Speaking of which, the last competition the group had was by far the most disasterous one this year. With less than 24 hours of rehearsal, we had no idea what was running through our minds while we were up on the big damn stage. Well obviously the mood was venomous: it was a silent, silent, SILENT show. Let's just say it was our biggest mistake to compete in the first place though we knew it since the very start. Buuuut, we are not called F2DM for nothing. Known for last minute show. *Inside humour* :)

Last but not least, I got a new kitten! :D

It's true, I have not been updating this site for awhile.





Time flew fast. Too fast to realise that my dumb-dumb best friend has finally reached his 19 years of life! It feels like just yesterday we celebrated his 18th birthday. Alright, let's cut all these yada-yadas and the long, tedious entry of birthday wishes ya?

Hiphop Affair 5 dance competition that took place last saturday went smoothly as planned. All thanks to the committees, managements, sponsors, participants, and of course, those who helped by coming. :)

I had wanted to sleep earlier but I've decided to first blog about my day, read my book then I shall hit the sack.



I slept at 5.30am and woke up at 11am.

Let's just begin this naturally. So I've been on hiatus for months. Big deal!

My entire body is aching and I don't see why it shouldn't be.
Been dancing all day for 3 consecutive days.
Here's a brief summary of what happened last Sunday.

I was one of the ten people selected to dance in a bollywood show.
Yes, a bollywood show, so shut up!
The camera crew, assistants, make-up artist, soundman, director, photographer, ok in short, all of them flew here from India.
One of our major challenges and fret was when it comes to comprehending the choreographer's instructions. Let's avert misunderstandings before they start to surface. No I'm not gibe-ing any one of them. It's just that they subconsciously made the whole experience..... well... memorable. :)
Now let me recall a few scenes.

Female choreographer. (FC)
Male choreographer. (MC)
Soundman. (SM)

1. When we first reached our filming location.
FC: Ok dancers, come close. Don't stand under the sun, come into my shadow.
(she meant the shade)

2. FC: People, can you please pass motion to me?
(Can you please share your steps)

3. MC: After the dance, you all don't stand still. You all just freak out.
Me: (Really freaked out and turned to look at Fadel) huh?! What the.....?
Fadel: No, no. She meant freestyle.
Me: Ohh, okay . . . . ~

There's more but I can't be bothered to recall the rest. The gist is, they are simple adorable. We went to Kallang Leisure Park, Kent Ridge Park and lastly, Jurong Bird Park. They sure love parks don't they?

Overall I had an amazing day and it was nice meeting new people like Wawa and Rae. The producer once said that if they're filming another movie and need us dancers again, they'll fly us to India.
(and Zimah's waiting for that day to arrive) *smirks*
Zimaaaaahhh! We finally got to dance together! =)

Monday:
Nothing much, just intensive training for my dance group due to the upcoming competition and performances.

Tuesday:
Another intensive training for both the dance group and the cheerleading squad. Speaking of cheerleading, I was full of prevarication when Fadli asked me why am I not joining them for their upcoming shows. Oh crap!
Did I mention that my body is aching? And I can really feel my abs forming. Shut up! I'm for real okayyyy! Nyahaha ~

And as for later, I'll be meeting Bani and his girl. Tmrw, back to dance prac again. Oh what a hectic start of the week! But I'm aware that this is just the beginning.

If you are a fan of anything Japan, then you have to know about Pikachu, the main character from the internationally famous cartoon Pokemon.

Some lucky people received the chance of a lifetime last new years eve, when a man claiming to have discovered a Pikachu forest offered to catch live Pikachus for around $925 million each through a Yahoo! Japan Auction.





The auction limited the number of Pikachus that would be caught to 20 and with the purchase of 3 months of Pikachu food, the seller would provide a 60 minute training video to help teach new owners how to properly raise a young Pikachu.

I may not be a fan of Pikachu, but that don't mean I wouldn't want to have one of these for a pet!

Let's get everything summarised shall we?
First thing first. F2DM din't get into the finals for SKM.
Why? True enough, we focused more on our dance routine that one main thing was neglected; the SKM message.
Not just our luck perhaps?

As for Raptors, we lost to this particular team (which shall not be mentioned here by me) by 0.5 point. Yes, 0.5 point. Not even 1 point behind them, that was how close we were. Ofcourse, we were all shattered when the judges broke the news to us. Some of us cried. Some of us just stood there, speechless.
On the other hand, inevitable smiles from the other team were glaringly blatant.
What can I say? Isn't this what we call 'nature'? *smirks*

Some of the judges wanted us in.
However, the total result acted as a pillar that thwarted us from nearing the championship.
Lady luck was on our side though.
The pathos of the result affected the judges badly that they had to call us back to be their guest performer for the finals. Though they wish to see F2DM perform, the dancers came to a decision whereby we believe it's best for the whole cheerleading squad to be in. Moreover the option is ours to make. If F2DM get to perform, we want raptors to perform too. In fact, what's fun without your loved ones right? Judges agreed.

Gist is, Raptors will be the guest performer for the finals of SKM Dance & Cheerleading competition tomorrow!Performance is at 7pm, Ngee Ann City. See you there.

P/S: Raptors will be loved, no matter what the obstacles are!

I've been emotionally disturbed recently. Aunt's back from China.
What's so bad about that, right? Wrong!
This time, she's really getting on my nerves.
Three days left to my major paper and I can't describe how chaotic they were. - which is not a good thing that is.
On the other hand, what other hand?? With them in my house, everything is intricated! -_-
I mean..... Nahhh, I'll skip all the explanations. It's inexplicable.

Apart from that, it was Cikgu Hamidah's last lesson with us on Thursday.
I can't believe are these are happening to us. And I know I'm not the only one affected by the news.
It was so sudden.
She was the greatest.

It's fucking unfair!
Bitch.


She arrived in this foreign country with news tailing her.
The news that shall determine my future. - And so it did.
The thought of having to migrate to Japan has been haunting me for the past few months. Fear and anger had been my constant companion. I have nothing to worry about. - For now.
In fact, I was tremendously surprised by it. Who wouldn't?

And so, my aunt will be staying with us for the next few days before she leave for China on the 16th. The others (who also claimed to be my aunts and uncles) will be coming this 13th. Thank god the monkeys aren't here this time round. Sorry lah! Can't seal the excitement of not having to be kicked off the bed in the middle of the night! *Grins*

Moving on to my dear crewmates, you guys shall be neglected by me for a while.
The aunt needs proper attention while she's here you see. *Oh God!*
But I'll definitely find ways to elude myself from this disastrous punishment.
I can't bear having to entertain up to 5 unknown strangers in my own home. *cuts wrist and faint*

Why am I so dramatic tonight ?? Sheeesh!
I'm still euphoric over the news. =)
For the first time, I'm satisfied with my new haircut.

I had one of the most memorable weekend.
Partly because I spent my birthday with the dancers and my two best friends. From the lovely, unexpected surprise and the splat of cake to the face that was uncalled for, to the dinner plus movie, to even the magnificent sight from the ferries wheel.

Moving on! F2DM made it to the semi-finals of SKM dance/cheer competition. Miraculously, after all of the mistakes done on that particular day, Raptors managed to skate their way through as well. Everyone was overwhelmed by the news. I admit, it was least expected. Nevertheless, I certainly am grateful of everything.
And I know I'm not the only one.
Forget about what the result may be, I'm loving you people even more. =)
I'm getting impatient. I'm excited for our next training. We have something right underneath our sleeves.
Just by thinking of it makes me anxious. *grins*
